Osteopathy

Charlee

I completed my master’s in osteopathy at the University College of Osteopathy. During my studies, I gained valuable clinical experience across various settings, including a notable placement at the rural free hospital, where I work with a multi-disciplinary team managing chronic pain in patients with complex conditions.

What made you want to be an osteopath?

I was an Irish dancer through my youth and suffered from multiple sports injuries related to my dancing. This led to me receiving treatment from an osteopath and opened my eyes to the work they do and the support they gave me in my dancing shoes. Best let the spark for me, and I entered the training as a mature student.

What strengths or skills do you have as an osteopath?

I really enjoy complex cases with experience in chronic pain management, which I gained in my placement at the Royal Free Hospital and the East Street GP practise.

After suffering my own sports-related injuries, I enjoy working with athletes and dancers to achieve their performance goals

I also have a passion for women’s health and am developing my skill set in this area.

What do you enjoy outside of life as an osteopath?

I have recently moved to the area, so I am enjoying exploring the region in my time off with my new boxer puppy called Bisket. I am also an owner of a variety of exotic animals included bearded dragon snake, and a 95-year-old tortoise called Gus.
